When we got the call to design and create a wedding cake for Mitch and Cam, characters from the hit TV show Modern Family, we were thrilled. As fans of the show we were excited to play a small part in the excitement of the season finale. And as bakers we loved the challenge of designing the perfect wedding cake for the couple. We designed a 5 tier cake, in an ivory fondant background featuring intricate geometric graphic designs in pale blue/gray and mint green. In addition to the cake, we prepared 500 individual cake slices in small white guest favor boxes. Each slice was topped with an edible replica of the cake topper of Mitch and Cam which had been featured in a previous episode of the show. Congratulations to the happy couple!
